Gardening course and other good news
This week has gone so quickly, I can’t believe it’s Friday already. Not that I’m complaining, I’m ready for the weekend! Here are my favourite things from the past couple of weeks, previous favourites can be found here.
Favourite daydreaming object of the week
The biggest reason why this week feels so short is that I’ve found a house I have been obsessing about. I even have a Pinterest board for it. Crazy Georgian country pile that needs complete renovation. You might remember from this post that I’m not one to shy away from challenging house projects, but this one is just on another level. A gigantic project. And it’s too far away. But the house is just too beautiful not to explore this a little bit. The rest of the family is less keen, but we are making a day trip to the area (and maybe see inside the house too) on Saturday. Fingers crossed we get lucky with the eurolottery this weekend!

Favourite new hobby
Ok, it’s not honestly speaking my favourite just yet, but I’m really trying to get into gardening. I think I would enjoy it more if I actually had an idea what I was supposed to do. So I’ve started an introductory gardening course online with two friends. “How to be a gardener” starts from the very basics, it’s free and it’s designed by British gardening hero Alan Titchmarsh. If you know your way around the garden already but would like inspiration for plants, try Royal Horticultural Society’s plant search, where you can add different filters and search for plants suitable for your garden or balcony.
Favourite cosmetic product
I don’t usually use primers and the ones I have tried before haven’t been especially impressive, but I love my new Urban Decay Optical illusion primer. It’s great for masking uneven skin tones and fine lines. A small drop is enough, skin feels soft and any foundation stays well on it. I usually use Urban Decay’s make up setting spray too, and these two products keep my make-up in place.
Favourite new home product
My brand new linen bedding I was given from Piglet in bed. They are beautiful, so soft and make me feel like I’m sleeping on a cloud. The only downside is that I have to get these changed in the morning, wash them and get them dried in the same day as I just don’t want to be sleeping on anything else anymore! Other colour options are beautiful blush pink and grey. You can get 20% off by using code SHNORDIC20.
Garden peas are back at my local shop! I love them, and so do my children. Perfect for snacking and far healthier option than my usual packet of crisps!
Favourite interiors of the week
I love this bohemian kitchen with concrete island:
